We reach out and serve in our homes, communities, and the world.

As Big Ocean women, we seek opportunities to serve and uplift others.  We are innate healers of suffering.  We are natural collaborators and community builders.  We will not stand idly by as many of our sisters, their families and children suffer under extreme poverty and oppression.  We will reach out across the oceans to support and strengthen one another.  Our network will provide a listening ear and spiritual relief as well as willing and working hands.  Small and large acts of service within the home, community, and the world are the foundation of our contribution to humanity, and the key to building a strong and vibrant world.  We give the rising generations this key to powerful change as we teach them to serve first in the home with small acts of service and then encourage them to extend their acts of service outside of the home to local and worldwide communities.

Collaboration with other organizations with common goals

We believe in collaboration and seek to work with others dedicated to finding light-filled solutions to local and global problems. Where there is goodwill and willing hands, we are there!

Our greatest asset is our openness to work with and collaborate with others. We believe that unity and collaborative efforts are powerful beyond measure.  As we model an abundance mentality and influence others to have the same perspective, we will all become more unified, deliberate, and purposeful. We strive to create a network of organizations who are willing to work together to make changes locally and globally.  There is great power when the hearts of everyday women are knit together in goodness and unity, and when individual skills and talents are harnessed in a collaborative way.

Real, positive solutions

We look for real, positive solutions. Big Ocean is about real girls, women, and mothers acting in empowered ways to change the world for good. The practical solutions generated by everyday women are greatly effective.

As maternal feminists, we make up a majority of the women of the world. We are women who are faith-filled, women who seek to thrive within families, and women who identify as mothers (philosophically or otherwise). Because we are made up of everyday women, our ideas and solutions are designed to be practical, creative, and real. They are simple yet transformative solutions to serious global ills.
