El Hogar, el Primer Capítulo del Futuro/The Home, the First Chapter of the Future

La vida no se escribe en un solo artículo como el que estoy escribiendo, sino en varios libros, con diversos tomos, capítulos, secciones y llenos de frases inspiradoras, pensamientos, experiencias, sentimientos vastos, etc. Si leemos los libros de las vidas de las personas, leemos su cultura, la manera en que ven la vida, sus creencias y lo que es más importante para ellos. Nosotras creemos que la cultura de la vida empieza en el vientre, se centra en el hogar y continúa en el ambiente en donde nos desarrollamos.

La cultura se va creando día a día, con cada decisión que tomemos y van llenando las páginas de esos libros que narran la belleza de lo que es vivir. Me conmueve el saber que la vida se forma en el vientre de nuestra madre y que es su voz, el sonido con el que estamos más familiarizados desde el vientre y al nacer. Ese sonido que nos proporciona paz, felicidad y seguridad, es allí donde queremos estar, con mamá y en el hogar que juntos formamos en casa.

Es en el hogar donde estamos formando el futuro de la comunidad, dentro de cuatro o más paredes donde se escriben más y más libros en la vida de nuestros hijos. ¿Qué impacto tienen nuestros actos en nuestra familia? Piensa en el impacto que tuvo la cultura de tus padres contigo y tu alrededor y te estarás respondiendo esta pregunta. Si te gusta, sigue ese camino, si hubieron desafíos y hay algo que quieres cambiar, esta es tu oportunidad de hacerlo con tus hijos y los que te rodean.

Tu vida y la cultura que estás escribiendo puede cambiar vidas, como dijo Marlin Jensen “Es a través de las vidas de las personas buenas que, al menos en parte, llegamos a ser mejores”. Te invito a hacer esa diferencia, a ser “Mejor” ya sea por el ejemplo de la cultura de la vida de personas que han influenciado en nosotros o por nosotros poner el ejemplo a la siguiente generación que estamos criando.

Life isn’t written in just one article like the one I’m writing but in several books, with various volumes, chapters, sections, and filled with inspiring phrases, thoughts, experiences, vast feelings, etc. When we read the books of people’s lives, we read their culture, the way they view life, their beliefs, and what is most important to them. We believe that the culture of life begins in the womb, centers in the home, and continues in the environment where we grow.

Culture is created day by day, with every decision we make, and it fills the pages of those books that narrate the beauty of what it means to live. I am moved by the knowledge that life is formed in the womb of our mother and that her voice is the sound we are most familiar with from the womb and at birth. That sound provides us with peace, happiness, and security; it is there where we want to be, with mom and in the home we together create.

It is in the home where we are shaping the future of the community, within four or more walls where more and more books are written in the lives of our children. What impact do our actions have on our family? Think about the impact your parents’ culture had on you and your surroundings, and you will be answering this question. If you like it, follow that path; if there were challenges and there’s something you’d like to change, this is your opportunity to do so with your children and others around you.

Your life and the culture you are writing can change lives. As Marlin Jensen said, “It is through the lives of good people that we at least in part, become better.” I invite you to make that difference, to be “Better”—whether it’s through the life culture of people who have influenced us or by setting an example for the next generation we are raising.
