Remember Tom and Becky Rogers who moved to Ghana on a dream and a prayer to mentor families? We asked Becky how her children participate in their rapidly growing projects and programs there. Are they part of their family mentoring other families?
In a word, yes! Becky reports that her children work at the literacy center several days a week and are “hands-on involved” in every part of the work there. She shared these pictures, worth thousands of words, and mused, “Yes, as I look through all these photos, I am realizing again that my children work pretty hard!”
This family is a perfect illustration of this month’s tenet, “We greatly value the unique and contributing roles of families.” Their work and example are teaching other families this important truth.
