“We are each unique and innately worthy of respect. As your body formed in the womb, your design—your physical, material identity—was mapped out in each new cell that emerged as part of your tiny body.”
This month’s tenet speaks loudly to me as I am a mother and currently have this exact process happening in my womb. Another child of God, the universe, or whatever you believe as being a higher power is being developed, grown, and becoming a beautiful, tiny body with an identity and purpose.
As many understand this role of mother and the deeply marvelous process in the womb that takes place over 9 months, you feel that connection the moment the screen turns to positive or the moment you hear a little heart beat as a doctor scans your stomach.
A mother’s divine role is being the caretaker and safe space for her tiny child even after those beautiful nine months. This is our role because every human deserves respect, even the little children. To think we have the power to create lives in our bodies, one cell at a time until a baby is completely formed – it’s a beautiful, powerful process! It’s a process we should talk about more, especially with our families and our children, emphasizing how marvelous it really is.
