The idea that each of us is unique and innately worthy of respect struck a chord with our writers this month. Perhaps it is beginning a new year, the lack of respect prevalent in the world today, or our struggle as women to sometimes see our own worth as we recognize everyone else’s. We are blessed with a plethora of ideas and applications, so I will just add one short one of my own. As I have sought to discover my worth, I’ve had to keep remembering it does not lie in what I do, but in my identity as a child of God, the direction of my life, and how I’m becoming more Godlike myself.

I saw this upward-trending cycle in a report from Susan Roylance on the BOW preschool in Guatemala, which recognizes the worth of not only the children, but their mothers who are all taking delight in their steadily-growing reading skills. Lisa shares lessons learned as a teen from her driving teacher about seeking truth, Shelli extols the amazing power of imagination, and Katrina Hubbard explains what it means to be innately worthy of respect. Rebekah bravely shares her journey of self-understanding through learning to be true to herself and value others, while Sharon talks of overcoming a discouraging period by recognizing her worth as a woman in her home and the world. Katrina Hough ponders the value of the unique young child growing in her womb, and Erica learns that her name and other unique characteristics are part of what make her singularly special

So, we invite you to soak up all these empowering ideas and honor the worth of each and every person on earth, beginning with YOU! See more HERE.
