Each of us has people, events, or decisions that have “made all the difference” in our lives and the lives of our families and associates. Don’t you love randomly meeting up with such impactful friends? One friend calls this chance encounter a “divine rendezvous.” The Model of Powerful Impact, November’s tenet, is centered on how our beliefs and actions can make all the difference in a world awash with confusion and evil. 

Big Ocean Women, soon to mark a decade since it began, is a “model” of November’s tenet, the Model of Powerful Impact. Our founder, Carolina Allen, is an apt “model” of the tenet statement that “a single changed individual can be the catalyst for external change, that families are the bedrock of community, and that community is the foundation of society.” As a whole, Big Ocean Women IS such a model, with Carolina as the single changed individual and catalyst for the ocean of powerful change it has created in the lives of over 500 women in 20 countries. Norma shares insights of this continuing impact. 

Our authors have found myriad ways to apply this model and the significant difference it makes. Kaylee witnesses how the ability and choice to read is a life-changing application. Emily focuses on the power that seeking and being open to guidance from our Higher Source is critical to our ability to impact the world, and Lisa gives a fresh perspective on how giving generously, even from our modest assets, has a huge impact on others who struggle daily for life’s necessities. Shelli uses recent wonders in the night skies to illustrate that we are each an irreplaceable part of this universe–even as grateful observers. Finally, Bethanie suggests following our internal compass will boost the power of our impact for good.
